Clear scope before scheduling

Each appointment is quoted before travel. North Carolina notarial fees are separate from any agreed travel or mileage reimbursement.

General Notary Work

For affidavits, acknowledgments, jurats, school forms, business forms, vehicle documents, and other everyday notarizations. Signers need acceptable identification and must appear in person unless using an eligible remote online notarization process.

Power of Attorney Notary

Mobile appointments are available for power of attorney documents at homes, hospitals, care facilities, and agreed public locations. A notary cannot explain legal meaning or choose forms, so legal questions should go to an attorney.

Hospital & Hospice Notary

Sensitive appointments are handled with patience and clear identity requirements. The signer must be alert, aware, willing to sign, and able to communicate directly with the notary.

Jail Notarizations

Facility appointments depend on visitation rules, signer identification, document approval, and scheduling windows. Call with the facility name and document type before booking.

Remote Online Notarization

Remote online notarization may be possible when the document, signer, platform, and North Carolina rules allow it. Call first to confirm eligibility and identity requirements.

Pricing and North Carolina fee rules

North Carolina sets maximum notarial fees for many notarial acts. Travel or mileage reimbursement is separate and must be agreed to before travel. See N.C. Gen. Stat. 10B-31.
